Born August 4, 1907 to Allen H. and Georgia Mason Harvey, Hazel Harvey Peace was an educator, humanitarian, and community activist with an outstanding record of service to the City of Fort Worth. At age 13, she graduated from the Fort Worth Colored School (renamed I. M. Terrell High School); at 17, she returned to Fort Worth to teach at her alma mater I. M.
